TANZANIA DIASPORA HUB MEMBERSHIP

MEMBERSHIP: Tanzania Diaspora, autonomous organization whose membership is voluntary. It is a Non-Profit Organization. The Organization, however, maintains strong links with Government and works very closely with private sector organizations.

By becoming a member, you are directly supporting and impacting yourself and community served by Tanzania Diaspora.

Requirements to be a member of Tanzania Diaspora Hub

  • Membership shall be open to any person who is at least eighteen (18) years of age, who agrees to abide by the basic principles of the Organization, its constitution, bylaws, and promises to actively support the core values of the Organization as set forth in this document.Membership is granted after completion and receipt of a membership application and annual dues. All memberships shall be granted upon a majority vote of the board.
  • Existing members in good standing with the organization, will be automatically eligible for the following calendar year by paying membership dues by January 31 of the eligibility year.

Individual membership

A person who is at least 18 years of age and is a Tanzanian in the Diaspora or in Tanzania or of Tanzanian descent in the Diaspora or in Tanzania, or a Friend of Tanzania.

Domestic (in Tanzania) or local companies, entities, corporations, organizations, etc.

  • These will include local companies, organization.
  • It will also include companies that are owned by individuals of Tanzania Descent.

Foreign and International entities, companies, organizations etc.

Local and Domestic Sponsors

  • This category will include local businesses, entities, organizations, companies and etc.
  • This category will not pay dues but will sponsor Tanzania Diaspora in different ways such as rendering their services for discount rate Eg. banks, investment consulting firms, and more.

Foreign and International Sponsors (outside of Tanzania)

  • This category will include International businesses, entities, organizations, companies, and etc.
  • Will not pay dues but will sponsor Tanzania Diaspora in different way

The board of directors has the authority to grant or deny membership upon deliberations and reaching a quorum. The Executive President will submit the request to the board.  The President will also inform the requester of the board’s decision which should be final.

  • Complete a membership registration form and give informed consent to be bound by Tanzania Diaspora organization Constitution and Bylaw
  • Pay a membership fee (To be determined by the Executive Committee and approved by the board of directors and General Meeting respectively.
  • Prospective members will fill out the membership request form on the website HERE
  • Pay a membership fee (To be determined by the Executive Committee and approved by the board of directors and the General Meeting respectively.
  • The membership dues and fees will be paid annually, unless changed by a majority vote of the board of directors and approved by the General Meeting. Continued membership is contingent upon being up to date on all membership dues and fees.
